That’s a really good question….

 

Right.  So this is the part of the site where I’m supposed to list all of my qualifications that give me the right to comment on your script.  In the ongoing spirit of total transparency, I have to tell you that I’m not really that comfortable talking about myself.  Yes, I went to college (Ithaca College, Class of ’88).  Yes, I have a degree in Film Production and Screenwriting.  Yes, I’ve worked in the industry (creative executive, staff writer, editor).

 

Yeah?  And?

 

 

I’m also a working writer.  And I have been for the past 20 years.  I’ve written close to 2 dozen screenplays.  I’ve sold material.  I’ve optioned material.  I’ve thrown a lot of material in the garbage, because that’s where it inevitably belonged.  I’ve been rejected.  And I’ve been accepted. I have a good eye and ear for the makings of a solid idea and screenplay.

 

I’m a constant student of the craft and I’m passionate about other people and their craft.  It’s not a hobby.  And I’m neither an expert or an authority. I’m a screenwriter.  Just like you.
