Kensho is a screenwriting workshop designed for the aspiring screenwriter.

Can I bounce this idea off of you?.  Does this character work or doesn’t it?  How do I get started?  Is there a second act in this idea? What’s with my dialogue? Kensho workshops are designed to get you through these moments as a writer, whatever your skill level might be. We want you to keep moving, to keep being inspired.  To stay motivated.  And to learn the craft so you can sell something.  That’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?

Fade In: We Meet

We all start at the same place, don’t we?  And the mysteries and the challenges of our story stretches in front of us, often filling us with anxiety.  We formed Kensho with the hopes of creating a safe haven for writers, a place where like minds understand the process.   So Welcome.  Sit down.  Have a cup of coffee.  And let’s talk Story.

Act I: The Workshop

Everyone has a story to tell. A Kensho workshop is the perfect way to help you bring your story to the world. At Kensho, you work with other writers.  You brainstorm.  You build your confidence.  You tap into your creative life force. Nothing wrong with that. Is there?

Act II: Your Screenplay

We meet.  You pitch.  You write.  We meet.  We read.  We review.  It’s all about goals.  It’s the best way to inspire you and keep you on track. See?  Like the best things in life, it’s a fairly simple and rewarding process.

Script Consultation

Feels good, doesn’t it?  You’ve finished your script!  Congratulations!  Now the real job begins: finding someone to read your script.  Someone you can trust. Someone who can be honest.  Someone who can help you…MAKE IT BETTER than it already is.  That’s where we come in.

Please…understand.  This isn’t “coverage”. Forget about coverage. “Coverage” is a filtering process for industry executives who can’t possibly read all of the scripts on their desk. It’s really not meant for the writer’s eyes.  We don’t do that.  That’s a one-way street.  And we think you’re better than that.
